Starting in 1993 and running through 1997, Mazda produced some Special Edition and Limited Edition versions of the Miata. These featured special colors, interiors, performance components, and audio systems.

For audio, Mazda turned to Pioneer to create an improved speaker system with separate door woofers, tweeters, and fullrange headrest speakers.

Our M800 speakers are perfect drop-in replacements for the doors, but what about the headrest speakers?

The good news is that our Retrofit Kit Special Edition includes the regular Miata plastic seat inserts allows you to update your headrest speakers without modification.

There's no cutting, drilling, or splicing wires.
Everything screws into place.

Our kit includes everything you need to retrofit our Millennium-5 headrest speakers into both seats of your 90-97 Special or Limited Edition Miata, except for ordinary speaker wire (which should already be in your seats but we've got some here if you need it). Our Retrofit Kit includes:

• (2) 3rd Millennium headrest plastic seat inserts (NA_Ins)
• Polyfill acoustic batting for each speaker box
• All 28 mounting screws to properly mount all four boxes and speakers securely and properly. No drilling or cutting required - everything just screws in.
